Hello there.  I don't know how you found me, but I'm glad you did: it gets lonely around here sometimes.

Now that you're here, I suppose I ought to tell you what you've found.  This is my author's website, where I share stuff, and write stuff, and post stuff, and also share information about my works, presently published and in-progress.

As for me, I'm Stephen Eric Johnson, and I like to write stuff that has absolutely nothing at all to do with the real world.  Because, of course, everyone knows that science fiction and fantasy are unimportant: mere idle imaginings with no relevance to daily life.

(Of course, "everyone" are often wrong.)

​

So here's an explanation of what those tabs up at the top of this page mean, going from left to right, since that's usually how I read.

First is "General."  That's this page, and you can use it as a "panic button" if you ever want to come back here.  This page isn't likely to change much, though I'll probably add links to new books as they're published.

​

Second is "Books."  That's where I put more detailed information about the books I've presently got out and published.  It's also where I'll be putting information about books in the works, new releases, and most other information that you might want to know about the professional works that are being put out with my name on them.

​

Third is the most important bit, "Bloggin'."  That's the part of this website that gets updated regularly, about once a week or so.  I'll post short essays, art done by Astanael (Pierre Joubert to those who know him), the artist who did the cover and interior art for The Man from Rock Bottom and also a really nice guy, links to my works on YouTube, and similar items intended for fun and/or education.  Since I'm a teacher and academic by primary profession, I'm afraid that the two get a little muddied together for me.

Fourth is "About," which is about me.  Why you would want to know that sort of stuff is completely beyond me, but it's an option.  Oh, and I suppose it does serve as a way for you to gauge my credibility, which is important: after all, I'm a professional author, and as Neil Gaiman noted, "All authors are liars."

Fifth and last is "Contact," for if you'd like to fill out a form to send me an automatic email.  At least I hope that's what will happen: I'm still working with this system, and quite unsure about a lot of its many features.
